Sillage was born from a simple conviction: fragrance should feel like entering a room — temperature, light, texture, memory — not like reading a billboard. We don't chase trends. We compose scenes.

Every bottle is hand-filled in our atelier in Grasse, where perfumer Élise Marceau works in batches of no more than 500. No focus groups. No celebrity partnerships. Just instinct, rare materials, and the patience to let a composition find its final form.

    We source only naturally derived, IFRA-compliant materials — Turkish rose absolute from Isparta, Florentine orris butter aged three years, Cambodian oud distilled in small lots. Each ingredient is chosen for what it does to light, not what it does to a spreadsheet.

    Sillage was founded in 2018 by perfumer Élise Marceau, who left a career at a major fragrance house to build something smaller, slower, and more honest. Our atelier sits on a hillside above Grasse, with windows that frame the same rose fields that supply our absolu.

    We work in small batches — never more than 500 bottles per composition — using only naturally derived and IFRA-compliant materials. Each bottle is hand-filled, hand-labeled, and hand-packed. The imperfection is the point.

    Our clients are scattered across forty-two countries. They share one thing: they wear fragrance for themselves, not for an audience. That is the only brief we have ever followed.

    The Full Story

    Wear the room,
    not the trend

    Sillage is not a signature scent in the conventional sense. It is a signature atmosphere — the temperature of a memory, the light in a room you have never visited but somehow know. Our wearers describe the experience as "being wrapped in something" rather than "wearing something."

    That is deliberate. We compose for skin, for fabric, for the air between two people in conversation. The sillage — the trace — is the entire point.

    Everything you need to know about ordering, wearing, and caring for your Sillage compositions.

    All three Sillage compositions are extraits (20–25% concentration). Expect 8–12 hours on skin, with base notes lingering on fabric well into the next day. Aube Rosée wears closest; Ambre Veil projects softly for the first two hours; Nocturne Iris unfolds slowly over four to six hours before settling into skin.

    Three 2ml spray vials — one each of Aube Rosée, Ambre Veil, and Nocturne Iris — in a gift-ready box with a scent guide booklet describing each composition's notes, mood, and ideal wearing occasions. The $45 set price is fully credited toward your first 50ml bottle purchase.

    Yes. We ship to forty-two countries via carbon-neutral courier. Discovery sets typically arrive in 3–5 business days. Full bottles ship in 5–8 business days. All orders include tracking and are packed in recycled, plastic-free materials.

    We use naturally derived and IFRA-compliant materials wherever possible. Some molecules are synthetic by necessity — either because the natural source is endangered (oud, certain musks) or because synthesis allows us to avoid animal-derived ingredients. We are fully transparent about our formulas on request.

    We offer private atelier visits by appointment, twice monthly, for discovery set clients who are in Provence. The visit includes a guided smelling of raw materials and a conversation with Élise about the composition process. Email discover@sillage-parfums.com to inquire.
